PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP — Margaret E. Peters, age 95, formerly of State Road South, Plymouth Township, died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Ashtabula County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Margaret was born March 12, 1917, in Plymouth Township, in the home her grandfather bought after the civil war, to Harry and Pearl (nee Seymour) Moores. She graduated from Ashtabula High School Class of 1935.
Mrs. Peters was a member of Kingsville Eastern Star Orion Lodge #12, the Plymouth United Methodist Church and was an 80 year member of the East Plymouth Grange.
She was a waitress at Hotel Ashtabula and Aunt Jemima's Pancake House (Mr. C's.). Margaret will be remembered for her hospitality and her love for her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband.
Mrs. Peters is survived by her brother, Donald Moores; niece, Cindy (Greg) Woodburn; nephew, Steve (Georgine) Moores; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl W. Peters; brother, Randall Moores; sister-in-law, E. Jeanne Moores; and nephews, David and Jeffrey Moores.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28th, at THOMPSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 345 Main St., Conneaut, with the Rev. Johnnie Swann, of Plymouth United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Vernon Palo, of Andover 1st United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held from 11 a.m. until time of Service at 1 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorials in memory of Margaret may be given to Plymouth United Methodist Church or East Plymouth Grange. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
