ASHTABULA — Gregory K. Laird, age 48, of Lambros Lane, Ashtabula, Ohio, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at his residence.
He was born May 23, 1964, in Madison, Ohio, the son of William and Dorothy (Lampart) Laird and has lived in Madison, Middlefield and Ashtabula, all of his life.
Mr. Laird was employed at Worthington Cylinders.
He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, and teasing and playing practical jokes on friends and family.
Survivors include his companion of many years, Cecelia A. Johnson; four children, Nicole A., Ashley M., April M. and Erik T. Laird, all of Ashtabula; four step-children, Michael T. Johnson, Heather M., Crystal A. and Matthew J. Pananen, all of Ashtabula; four grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Clint) Keener of Bay Village; and a brother, James Laird.
His parents, a brother, Richard, and a sister, Suzanne, preceded him in death.
Calling Hours will be held Thursday, July 26th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ashtabula Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula.
