Treva Elizabeth Rounds, age 95, formerly of Perryville Place, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at Jefferson Healthcare.
She was born March 1, 1917, in Cleveland, the daughter of Merritte P. and Mayme L. Ackerman and had been an Ashtabula resident most of her life. A graduate of Edgewood High School, she was a member of Harvest Church and volunteer and contributor to the Ashtabula Dream Center.
An avid bingo player, she loved yellow flowers, cheering for the Cleveland Browns and Indians, and serving as a poll worker for the Ashtabula County Board of Elections.
Her survivors include two children, Adelbert (Anne) Nist of Edgewood, N.M. and Shirley (Roger) Ball of Jefferson; four grandchildren, Rev. Duane (Terri) Ball, Renee Talso, Jeffrey (Kelly) Nist and Tracy (Ryan) Ellis; six great-grandchildren, Kimber, Emma, Andrew, Laura, Danielle and Cheyenne; and one great-great-grandchild, Taylen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rounds in 1984; and her parents.
A Calling Hour will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon, with a Service to follow at 12 Noon, Monday, July 23rd, at Harvest Church, 8625 Center Road, (SR 45), Austinburg. The Rev. Duane E. Ball, Pastor and grandson of Mrs. Rounds, will officiate. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
