Beverly Isabell (nee Horton) Brinkman, passed away peacefully Monday, August 6, 2012, at Country Club Retirement Center.
Born Oct. 29, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William and Isabell (Keeney) Horton. On April 5, 1974, she married Robert Brinkman and together they spent 19 years together living in Hamilton, Ohio.
Bev was active in various military and veteran groups and organizations with her husband over the years while he served for the U.S. Military Reserves. She moved to Ashtabula to be close to her family after Robert’s death in 1993.
In Ashtabula, she lived for many years at Ridgeview Terrace where she served as President of the activities group. Beverly was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her brother, William (Lucille) Horton of North Kingsville; nieces, Laurie (Michael) Sovel and Debra (Timothy) Kane, both of Ashtabula and Melissa (Charles) Toman of Youngsville, N.C.; nephew, Dr. William (Gretchen) Brosky of Aurora, Ohio; and great-nieces and nephews, Chad, Shannon, Ciarra, William, Colby, Nicolas and Griffin
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1993; son, Danny in 1993; sister, Beatrice Brosky in 2004; and her parents.
At her request, there will be no services, cremation will take place. Inurnment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba, N.Y. at a later date.
