Barbara J. Martin, age 82, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Geneva Shores surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 17, 1929, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Dorothy (Titman) and Wesley Thompson. She and was a 1947 graduate of Madison High School and married Robert Martin in Harpersfield, Ohio on March 4, 1950.
A homemaker, Barbara enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, camping, fishing and was involved as a member of the Church of the Blessed Hope in Madison.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Debra) Martin of Columbus, Ohio, Terry (Cindy) Martin of Seven Hills, Ohio and Melinda (Otto) Grellman of Sugar Grove, Ill.; granddaughters, Kelly (Brad) Rentfrow and Kimberly (Mike) Schmidt; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy (Roy) Winfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Martin, and her parents.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 9th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.
A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, August 10th, at Church Of The Blessed Hope, 7337 South Ridge East, Madison, Ohio. Burial will be at Alexander Harper Cemetery in Unionville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Barbara Martin may be made to the Church of the Blessed Hope in care of Nancy Winfield, 3940 Bates Road, Madison, Ohio 44057.
