JEFFERSON —
Mable M. Gogul, age 88, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Jefferson Healthcare Center, where she was a resident.
She was born May 26, 1924, in Jefferson, the daughter of Harlow and Mattie (Giddings) Gray and had lived here all of her life.
Mrs. Gogul retired from Namco Controls in Jefferson. She also volunteered for many years at the Jefferson Area Local Schools and was an aide in Mrs. Treen’s class. Mrs. Gogul was well known for her pecan tarts and decorating cakes.
She is survived by a son, F. Stephen Gogul of Cave Creek, Ariz.; a grandson, Christopher (Amy) Gogul; and great-grandchildren, Anna and Max; a sister, Betty Meade of Jefferson; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Gray; and sisters, Gladys Galpin, Eleanor Calaway, Marietta Martin, Dorothy Ollila and Virginia Bailey.
No services or calling hours will take place at this time. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
The Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, is handling arrangements.
