CONNEAUT —
Anthony V. Rose, age 91, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
Tony was born March 4, 1921, in Conneaut, the son of James and Mary Rose. He attended Conneaut High and later worked at the family lumber yard, Rose Lumber in Conneaut for most of his life.
Tony was a member of St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini Parish. He loved to talk to people when he was working at the lumber yard or out just socializing with friends and family. Tony enjoyed bowling, talking to others and the lumber yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy (Jones) Rose; a sister, Martha Rose; and brothers, Albert Rose, Vincent Rose, Frank Rose, James Rose and Charles Rose.
Tony is survived by his son, Anthony “Tony” and Darla Rose of Henrico, Va.; sisters, Betty Sheldon of Lake City, Pa. and Rosemary Armeni of Conneaut; grandchildren, Nicholas, Shawn, Ashley and Christopher Rose and Tracy Holder; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26th, at St. Joseph Cemetery, with Father Philip Miller, of St. Mary/St. Frances Cabrini, officiating.
