DEARING, Kan. — On Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, Beverly Joyce Eidens (Miller) Wrisley, born Oct. 12, 1941, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Gurden and Thelma Samples Eidens, a resident of Dearing, Kansas, left this world to be with the love of her life, Jesus Christ.
Beverly was surrounded by all five of her children, grandchildren, and dear friends. She was affectionately known as “Gummie” by all those who loved and adored her. Gummie’s life radiated Godly beauty and strength. Gummie will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, devoted friend, and trusted confidant and advisor.
Gummie was a gifted musician and artist who used her talents to glorify the Lord and bring joy to others. She sang for many local churches, directed and acted in numerous plays, gave voice lessons, and sang for the Erie Philharmonic Choir. She was a caring and compassionate individual and devoted her life to helping others.
She is survived by five children, Linda Miller of Ashtabula, Roger (Anie) Miller of Raleigh, N.C., Stephen Miller of East Liverpool, Ohio, Bonne (Dean) Courtwright of Wind Ridge Pa. and Barbara (Harty) Blackart of Dearing, Kan.; three siblings, Deborah Wing, Rebecca Eidens and Frank Eidens; twenty-two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents; and an infant son.
She will be greatly missed.
