MADISON — Patricia A. (Crookshanks) Morrison, age 65, formerly of Concord, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at the Cardinal Woods Nursing Home in Madison, after a lengthy illness.

The daughter of the late Thomas F. and Doris K. (Morse) Morrison of Concord, Ohio, she was born July 14, 1941, in Chardon, Ohio. She has lived in Ashtabula County since 1972. She was a graduate of Riverside High School, Painesville and Burroughs Business School of Cleveland, Ohio.

She worked as a Quality Assurance Secretary for many years at the former Joseph Dyson and Sons, Inc., now known as the Dyson Corporation, PNPP (Perry Nuclear Power Plant), Perry, Vitco Nuclear Products, Inc., Mentor, and a short time at Worthington Cylinders in Jefferson.

She was an avid lover and collector of Southwestern Art and Western items and was a Lone Ranger fanatic. She loved arts and crafts, animals, tending her yard and flower gardens, and enjoyed attending her granddaughter's horse shows, playing with her grandson, Ricky, and great-grandson, Christopher. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, Ruby Chapter, Chardon, Ohio.

Survivors include her former husband, Vern E. (Claudia) Crookshanks of Thompson; a daughter, Cheri (Rick) Janson of Jefferson, granddaughter, Robin Janson, grandson, Ricky Janson, and great-grandson, Christopher, all of Jefferson; brother, Fredrick “Rick” Morrison of Solon; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Road, Kingsville, Ohio 44048 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
