ECRU, Miss. — Ferrol Lee Steele Sipes, age 39, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at Germantown Methodist Hospital in Germantown, Tenn.
Born Aug. 24, 1968, in Joliet, Ill., she was a daughter of Alexander Wilson and Goldie Mae Gilbert Steele.
Ferrol was a missionary with Awana Clubs International and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ecru, Miss .
Survivors include her husband, T.J. “Terry” Sipes of Ecru, formerly of Ashtabula; one daughter, Goldie Lee Ann Sipes of Ecru; three sons, Terry John Sipes, Jacob Albert Sipes and Noah Jordan Sipes, all of Ecru; her mother, Goldie Mae Gilbert Steele; two sisters, Debbie Conway and Brenda Richerson, both of Texas; and three brothers, A.W. Steele, Henry Steele and Larry Steele, all of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alexander Wilson Steele; her grandmother, Flossie “Granny” Steele; and one brother, Mark Steele.
Services were held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Belden Baptist Church, with the Rev. Buster Wilson, the Rev. Mike Livingston and the Rev. Frank Hobart, co-officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation was from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at UNITED FUNERAL SERVICE, P.O. Box 810, 700 Highway 15 South, New Albany, Miss. 38652, who was in charge of the arrangements.
