CONNEAUT — Mary E. Ausel, age 93, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1919, in Rouseville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ruda and Laura (Enslie) Mumford Sr.
She was a member of the Rouseville (PA) United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Grottoettes. She enjoyed collecting chicken figurines, traveling, doing word search and puzzles.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary (Martin) Herpy of Conneaut, Ohio; her son, Thomas (Mary) Ausel of Conneaut, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jason (Tracy) Herpy of Mentor, Ohio, and Ryan Ausel of Conneaut, Ohio; and a great-granddaughter, Hailey Herpy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in June of 1980; a sister, Lois Ladner; and two brothers, Ruda Mumford Jr. and Raymond Mumford.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17th, at State Line United Methodist Church, 7321 Bushnell Road, Monroe Township, Ohio, with the Rev. David Blood officiating.
There will be no calling hours observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to State Line United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the Church and at the MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty St., Conneaut, Ohio, which has charge of arrangements.
