KINGSVILLE — Lee Frederick “Rick” Mitchell, age 57, of SR 193, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Ashtabula County Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 5, 1955, in Meadville, Pa, the son of Jack Mitchell and Bonita (Burns) Mitchell and had been an area resident since 1965.
A 1974 graduate of Edgewood High School, he worked over 25 years for Lord Corporation in Cambridge Springs, Pa. before his health forced him into retirement.
He had attended St. Andrews Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling, walking and reading. Rick loved movies and had an extensive collection of them. However, his greatest love was for his eight nieces and nephews, with whom he held a very special bond.
His survivors include his mother and step-father, Bonita and Phillip Woodring of Kingsville; his father, Jack Mitchell of Louisiana; three sisters, Karen Marie Cobb, Victoria Jo Gilliam and Anita Louise Woodring-Lewis, all of North Carolina; his brother, Phillip Jason Woodring of Sheffield Township; and his eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a baby brother in infancy.
No calling hours or services will be held at this time. He will be laid to rest in Lulu Falls Cemetery, Kingsville, Ohio. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
