JEFFERSON —
Ella G. Butler, age 79 of Stumpville Road, Lenox Township, died Thursday, Oct. 11th, at Jefferson Healthcare in Jefferson, Ohio.
She was born Nov. 8, 1932, in Painesville, Ohio, the daughter of Aloa and Eleanor Brooks.
She had been employed with Pinellas County School Board in St. Petersburg, Fla. as an Aide for Handicapped Children, retiring in 2008 when she returned to Lenox Township.
Surviving her is a daughter, Kelly Sue (Tom) Stum of Florida; a son, John Butler Jr.; three step-daughters, Rosemary (Bob) Jansen of Texas, Nancy (George) Kelly of Timberlake, Ohio and Judy (Tim) Beman of Berea; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dolly Lette of Chardon, Audrey Brynes of Pennsylvania and Jean Brooks of New Jersey; and two brothers, David Brooks of Grand River, Ohio and John Brooks of Madison, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Anna “Midge” Drum with whom she made her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John R. Butler in 2008; a son, James Butler; and two brothers, Alile Brooks and Ben Brooks.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Tridia Hospice, 1933 State Route 45, Austinburg, Ohio 44010. The Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson is in charge of arrangements.
