KINGSVILLE —
Ruth Ellen Marshand, age 87, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Colebrook, Ohio, the daughter of Lewis and Dora (Henchen) Kreig and had been a longtime area resident. She graduated from Colebrook High School and went on to Warren School of Cosmetology.
Mrs. Marshand enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and making quilts as well as cooking.
Ruth is survived by a son, Leonard A. (Karen) Marshand of North Kingsville; daughters, Donna (Mark) DeLoach of Nenana, Alaska and Betty J. (Steven) Krause of Kingsville; grandchildren, Chris, Joe, Mike, Crystal, Joshua, Tiffany, George, Greg and Gary; great-grandchildren, Makala, Destiny, Eric, Seth, Alex, Tyler, Nevaeh and Preston; sister, Lois Fowler of Ashtabula; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married on Oct. 27, 1946, Arthur D. Marshand; son, Kenneth L. Marshand who passed while serving in the Vietnam War; grandson, Kenneth Marshand; brothers, William, Floyd, Carl, Clarence and Don Kreig; sister, Juanita Smith; and parents.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, July 22nd, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3140 E. Center St., North Kingsville, with Pastor Kenneth Roberts, of Pentecostal Church of God, officiating.
Calling Hours will be from 12 p.m. until the time of Service, Sunday, at the mausoleum chapel
