ASHTABULA — Adam Massucci, 52, of Ashtabula, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at University Hospital in Cleveland.
Born Oct. 16, 1960, in Cerro al Volturno, Italy, the son of Dominico and Evelina (DeCola) Massucci. Adam graduated from Saint John High School class of 1979 and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps receiving an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal in 1982.
After joining the civilian workforce, he worked for Delta Railroad, Ashtabula Rubber, and most recently GMR Technologies.
He lived a full and active life pursuing his hobbies which included fitness, landscaping projects, boating, and collecting and restoring high performance vehicles. He had a big heart and will be remembered for the constant help and support he provided his family and friends. Adam was a compassionate person; over the years he rescued numerous injured and abandoned animals that became life long companions.
Survivors include his parents, Dominic and Evelina Massucci of Ashtabula; brother, Tony (Janice) Massucci of Kansas; nieces, Christy (Brian) Youngers and Sarah Massucci; two great-nieces; and one great-newphew.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 13th, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Saint Joseph Church, with entombment to follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Honor Guard Team from Post #103.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula.
