PORTLAND, Maine —
Richard P. Myers, age 58, formerly of Geneva, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2010, in Portland, Maine.
He was born in Geneva, Ohio, on Feb. 14, 1952, son of Raymond E. and Hazel M. (Eger) Myers.
Richard enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, playing cards and helping other people.
He is survived by his daughters, Becky (Scott) Insley and Kelly Myers, both of Findlay, Ohio; his parents of Conneaut; brothers, Ray (Celeste) of Shelburne, Vt.; John (Velma) of Conneaut; sisters, Janice Myers and Terri (Bill) Baker, both of Geneva; six grandchildren, Vince, Ethan, Avery, Drew, Grant and Grace; two nephews, Craig Nichols and Seth Miner; two nieces, Cassandra and Richelle Baker; and numerous friends in Portland, Maine, who loved him and will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Kesby) Myers from Jamestown, N.Y.
There will be a Memorial Gathering in his honor for family and friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4th, at Richard’s childhood home at 5275 South River Road East in Geneva.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local food pantry.
