Gabriella Holecko, age 85, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 26, 2010.
She was born Nov. 21, 1924, in Camigliano, Italy, the daughter of Paul and Angelina (Masi) Capezzuto and the second youngest of seven children.
Gabriella was employed over 24 years with Carlisle’s. She was a member of Mother of Sorrows Church, Catholic Daughters and Altar and Rosary Society.
Gabriella’s passion was being surrounded by her family and friends, she loved music, traveling and taking long walks by the lake to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Holecko in 1988.
Gabriella will be deeply missed by her children, Paula (Kenneth) Means of Winston Salam, N.C. and Donna (James) Daly of Chicago, Ill.; three grandchildren, Peter Morson, Jamie (Jerad) Clay and Michael Daly; two great-grandchildren, Christopher Morson and Connor Morson; a sister, sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 31st, at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1464 W. 6th St., Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial will follow at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, at ZABACK-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.
CHILDS & WILLIAMS FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1440 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, has charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to The Susan G. Komen Natl. Breast Cancer Foundation, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
