ASHTABULA — Charlene S. Graham, age 76, of S. Wright St., Kingsville, Ohio, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 8, 2012, after being taken to the emergency room at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born March 12, 1936, in Lenox Township, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Cora (Smith) Rogers and has been an Ashtabula County resident all of her life. She was married to Dorian S. Graham on Jan. 24, 1953, at the Lenox Federated Church.
Mrs. Graham’s working career included driving a bus in the Buckeye Local School District, working at the Chardon Mental Health Board, Real Estate Agent for Century 21 and working in the office at Schultz Mechanical Wire.
She was a member of the Kingsville Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder. Her enjoyments include fishing, biking, camping and traveling, including trips to Alaska, Yellow Stone National Park and riding mules down the Grand Canyon. She and Dorian wintered in Florida for 10 years. Her family was most important to her, cherishing all the visits and family gatherings.
She is survived by her husband, Dorian; four children, Cherie (Ed) Laylin of Cleveland, Tony (Nancy) Graham of Kingsville, Miranda (Chip) Barker of Kingsville and Leonard (Vernita) Graham of Dublin; nine grandchildren, Ray (Meghan) Laylin, Kevin Laylin, Angela Laylin, Kyle (Brittni) Graham, Eva Graham, Meghan Barker, Mindy Barker, Tyler Graham and Ashten Graham; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Katie; and three sisters, Geraldine Nash of St. Petersburg, Fla., Helen (Clyde) Baker of Kissimmee, Fla., and Doris Mae Fitzwater of Leesburg, Fla.
Her parents and a brother, Vernon Rogers, preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 12th, at the Jefferson Home of the FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio, with the Rev. Mary Susan Pisano, of the Kingsville Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Dorset Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, July 11th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
