GENEVA —
Robert VanTassel, age 79, of Geneva, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Rae-Ann Geneva Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Geneva.
Mr. VanTassel was born Dec. 17, 1932 and he lived in Painesville, in Ashtabula on Ogden Ave. being cared for by New Avenues for 10 years and in Geneva at Rae Ann for three years.
Robert was employed at Ash Craft Industries for many years. He enjoyed crocheting, fixing electronics with rubber bands and spending time with friends.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Judy Firestone; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Markwood VanTassel in 1997.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m., Monday, July 2nd, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, with the Rev. Sean Adams and Minister Richard Laferty, of Hiawatha Church of God in Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Perry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of Service, Monday, at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
