Linda K. Vanek, age 56, of Rock Creek, Ohio, died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at home.
Born April 17, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Glenn L. & Norma J. (Byrd) Oldaker. She married William “Bill” Vanek on Sept. 18, 1972 in Willoughby, Ohio.
She was employed at Citco in Chardon for 20 years. Linda loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed flower gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; sons, Bill J. (Nicole Graham) Vanek of Pierpont and Nick A. (Jen Metzger) Vanek of Rock Creek; grandchildren, Anndria, Autumn and Skylar; mother, Norma of Champion; brother, Glen Jr. of Painesville; and sisters, Glenda Shaw of Maine, Sandi Hahn of Woodmere and Kristy Globe of Champion.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn; grandson, Connor; twin sister, Brenda; and a brother, Ronald.
Calling Hours will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 8th, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio, with the Funeral Service to follow at 8:30 p.m., with Roger Zale, Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
