PIERPONT TOWNSHIP — Mary Ruth Talbort, age 75, of Pierpont Township, Ohio, died at her residence Tuesday, August 14, 2012.
Born Oct. 13, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Richard A. and Mary E. (Kellar) Lessner.
A self-employed farmer, she enjoyed farming, especially growing garlic, and breeding German Shepherds. She also enjoyed going yard-saling with her dear friend “Patsy”.
Survivors include her daughters, Judith DeShetler of Andover, Ohio, and Cynthia Oldeneurgh of Willoughby, Ohio; three sons, Mitchell (Terry) Felix of Wayne Township, Scott (Lorrie) Felix of Springboro, Pa., and Robert Felix of Warren, Ohio; two sisters, Nancy Vilar of Cleveland, Ohio, and Joanne Cicek of Painesville Township, Ohio; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Talbort; and a daughter, Julie Ann Braden.
A Memorial Gathering will be held 2 p.m. at her residence, 775 State Line Road, Pierpont Township, on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
