SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP — Joyce Lombardo, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Saybrook Landing.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on June 1, 1927, she was the daughter of Florence Orinski and adopted father, Albert Hallis. She married Joseph J. Lombardo when she was 16 years old.
For over 30 years, she was employed as a quality control inspector at TRW in Euclid, Ohio.
She was a dedicated blood donor in her earlier years and enjoyed reading, drives in the countryside, beach walks and caring for her pets.
Surviving her is her daughter, Terrie Krotine, and son-in-law, Rodger Kubat.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Bland.
A Private Memorial Service will be held by the family at a later date.
Kudos to the staff at Saybrook Landing for treating her as a member of their family, especially Nicole and Christi.
