CONNEAUT —
Robert Jarvi, age 79, of Conneaut, Ohio, passed away peacefully Friday, August 24, 2012.
Born in 1932, the son of Henry and Sigrid, he was preceded in death by three siblings. Robert is survived by one brother; four children; five grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Robert retired from the Conneaut Post Office and his position as caretaker of Camp Luther in North Kingsville, Ohio.
He enjoyed his life of leisure for the past 20-plus years. He had a keen sense of humor and never failed to live up to the expectations of those around him. An avid bridge player, he would often astound his bridge partners with his intellectual prowess in the realm of cards. He was also an excellent handyman and taught his children how to think outside of the box with his unique repair skills. His passing was expected, and he was prepared to meet the Lord.
There will be a private service for family members. Rest in peace, Robert.
