ASHTABULA — Ralph D. Ball, age 78, a resident of Saybrook Township, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born in Saint George, W.Va., on June 10, 1934, he was the son of the late Isaac A. and Ruby J. (Poling) Ball. On Sept. 5, 1952, he was married to Mary E. (Streets) in Parsons, W.Va.V For 25 years, Ralph worked for Industrial Rayon in Painesville.
He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Saybrook and liked puzzle books and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Ball; son, Rick (Jeannie) Ball of Saybrook; five grandchildren, Isaac (Mei), Israel (Summer), Josiah, Ana’ and Precious; four great-grandchildren, Beau, Bella, Emma and Nicholi; and a brother, Edward Ball of Madison.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold and Haywood.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1st, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, Ohio, with the Rev. Larry Emery, of Bible Baptist Church in Saybrook, officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva.
Calling Hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. TONIGHT, Tuesday, July 31st, at the Funeral Home.
