STOW —
Susan L. (Havens) Eybers, age 39, of Stow, died Wednesday afternoon, July 25, 2012, at the Hospice Care Center in Akron.
She was born Nov. 28, 1972, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of Rollin L. and Cheryl F. (Congdon) Havens. Susan grew up in Jefferson, graduating from Jefferson Area High School in 1991 and continued her education at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill., graduating in 1996. She was married to Scott K. Eybers on August 24, 1997 in Naperville, Ill.
Susan attended Christ Community Chapel in Hudson. She was a creative person, enjoying art, photography and playing the flute. Susan’s greatest love was being a wife and mother.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; six children, Matthew Eybers, serving with the U.S. Navy in San Diego, Calif., Katherine Eybers of Fairfax, Va, Jacob Eybers of Palmyra, Va and Allie, Amy and Luke Eybers, all at home; her mother, Cheryl “Cherie” Havens of Jeffreson; a brother, Peter J. (Monica) Havens of Streetsboro; a sister, Sara B. (Mark) Fridline of Stow; her grandmothers, Dorothy Havens and Betty Congdon, both of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rollin Havens in 2008; and grandfathers, Donald Congdon and Howard Havens.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 30th, at the Lenox Christian Fellowship Church (formerly Lenox Federated), 2610 Lenox-New Lyme Road, Jefferson, with the Rev. Kenneth Zaebst officiating. Burial will be in Lenox Center Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, July 29th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 26210 Emery Road, Suite 307, Cleveland, Ohio 44128, envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
