CLEVELAND — Ralph “Benny” Colicchio, age 70, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born Sept. 21, 1942, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Benny M. Colicchio and Shirley M. (Whepley) Colicchio. He married his best friend and love of his life, Diane Phelps, on Oct. 21, 1989.
He enjoyed reading, watching football and racing, Harley Davidsons, and spending time with his family and friends. He was loved and will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; five daughters, Danette Colicchio Hodges of Virginia, Nancy (Roger) Tackett, Lori (Rob) Burckhartte, Alicia Colicchio and Danielle Colicchio, all of Ashtabula; one son, Toby (Tina) Misenko of Ashtabula; 10 grandchildren, Nick, Cole, Diane, Brandi, Kim, Gynessa, Maurielle, Kayla, Brandon and Tyler; five great-grandchildren, Baileigh, Lexie, Cristian, Dakoda and Zachary; two sisters, Katherine Wright of Ashtabula and Rosemary (Mark) Butler of California; one brother, Dan (Claudia) Colicchio of Perry, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Diane and Lynette.
At the request of the deceased, no calling hours or services will be observed. A family gathering in his honor will be announced privately.
