ASHTABULA — Arthur J. Anderson, age 82, of Ashtabula, died Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2012, at his home.
Born April 13, 1930, in Ashtabula, he was the son of Arthur and Mary (Misczik) Anderson.
Art was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Union Dock. He also worked for Independent towel, sailed on the great lakes in the Merchant Marines, and loved to garden and woodwork especially Christmas figurines.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Anderson of Palm Bay, Fla., Sharon (Kevin) Cimorelli of Ashtabula and Barbara Mull of Akron, N.Y.; sons, James Anderson and Arthur Anderson, both of Akron Ohio; grandchildren, Gerald Lazanis Jr., Amanda Mull, Brandon Anderson, Kimberly Welker, Nicholas Cimorelli, Aliva Cimorelli, Zachary Cimorelli and Elizabeth Mull; one great-grandchild, Blake Anderson; sisters, Dorothy Gagat and Esther Northrup; brother, Henry Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eleanor Volpone, Evelyn Welton and Ann Ribo; and brothers, Albert and Harry Anderson.
Memorial Service will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 W. 19th St., Ashtabula, with Deacon Richard Johnson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard Team from Post 103.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.
