SALEM, Ore. —
Barbara Lee Peasley, 8/20/1935 to 4/18/2012. On Wednesday, April 18th, after an extended illness, our beloved mom passed peacefully in her sleep and went home to Jesus.
She was born in Ashtabula, Ohio to John Moury and Marjorie (Graham) Moury and grew up there. At the age of 16, she married Charles Fremont “Bud” Peasley who preceded her in death in 1994. Together they lived and raised their family in Ohio and California, finally settling in Oregon in the early 1970s.
She is survived by their 4 children, Jeffry Peasley, Valerie Aguero, Vivian Caldwell, and Vicki Starr; daughter-in-law, Robin; sons-in-law, Eugene Aguero and Gary Starr; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Barb spent many years as a CNA and was “Mom” to all kids who came into her home. She loved to lay in the sun, read, cook, and crochet, making many blankets and outfits for all of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and took many road trips across the country with Bud.
There will be a Celebration of Life at New Hope Foursquare Church, 4963 Swegle Road NE, Salem, Oregon, on Wednesday, April 25th at 2 p.m.
Donations can be made to Willamette Valley Hospice. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Services.
