ASHTABULA —
Genevieve Joanne “Jaye” Capp, age 86, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at her home with her loving family at her side.
The daughter of Nicholas and Lena (Bernardo) Narducci, she was born on June 8, 1925, in Ashtabula, Ohio, and was a graduate of Ashtabula High School. On Sept. 21, 1946, she married the love of her life, Carlos Capp and together they just recently celebrated sixty-five years of marriage.
Jaye enjoyed working in her gardens, whether she was growing vegetables or picking flowers to create her wonderful arrangements, she was content. A wonderful cook, her home was alive with her family and friends during the holidays. Everyone looked forward to those wonderful times and the memories that she helped to create.
A wonderful wife, mom, nana and sister, the best times of her life were the times she spent with her family. Her grandchildren loved coming to Nana’s. Those times spent with her will always be cherished memories.
Jaye was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and was active with the food bank and the Alter Guild of the church. She worked with her husband as the bookkeeper for his construction company, C.V. Capp and & Son.
Jaye will be remembered for her wonderful smile and sense of humor, her love of life, strength and wisdom, grace and courage and her ability to make others feel special in her presence. Our lives are richer for having been a part of her journey through life.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Carlos; their children, Dennis (Brenda) Capp of Ashtabula and Nancy (Paul) Oliver of Wayne, Pa.; four grandchildren, Paul D. Oliver, Sean Capp, Nicholas Capp and Anna Capp Donato; two great-grandchildren; her sister, Delores Narducci Nelson of Ashtabula; and two nieces, Lori Nelson Verrette and Pam North Byers.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Josephine Narducci Paulchel; and her parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday April 25th, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 615 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda, Pastor officiating. Private burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
A Calling Hour will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Church.
