AUSTINBURG — Glenn H. Wilder, age 88, of Austinburg, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at the Austinburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Geneva, Ohio, the son of Vine and Ruth (Fuller) Wilder and has been a lifetime area resident.

Glenn graduated from Geneva High School. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. He was a lifelong member of Geneva VFW Post #943.

When he was young, he worked on his parent’s farm. He retired from R.W. Sidley Company in 1985. Later in life, he worked in the Geneva area vineyards, which he enjoyed doing. He also enjoyed fishing.

Surviving him are his daughter, Barbara Wieczorek of South Dakota; step-daughters, Patricia (Michael) Woissol of Ashtabula and Michelle Fallon of Geneva; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris in 2000; a son, Glenn Wilder Jr.; and two step-daughters, Donna Collazo and Sharon Holley.

Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 11th, at the Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Route 20, North Kingsville, Ohio, with Alisa Nierzejewski, Certified Celebrant, officiating.
