ASHTABULA — Frazier Greathouse, age 65, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Carington Park, where he had lived for several years.
The son of Frazier and Lelia (Johnson) Greathouse Sr., he was born in Cleveland on Nov. 10, 1947. A Veteran of the United States Army, he proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict; from 1966 until he was honorably discharged in 1970.
Frazier was employed with RTA in Cleveland for a number of years. He moved to Tuskegee, Ala. and was employed at Veteran’s Affairs for several years.
Frazier enjoyed playing cards and telling stories. He loved to see people smile. One of his most interesting hobbies was traveling. He would tell his nieces and nephews of the places he visited and what amazing things he saw.
Frazier will be remembered for his willingness to work; his love of travel; and his great affection for his family. A wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed.
Frazier is survived by his siblings, Margaret Trent of Barton, Fla., Luddie (Ada) Carmichael and Valeria Greathouse, both of Ashtabula, Sylvester Greathouse and Larry (Eva) Greathouse, both of Cleveland; and many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Mott; brothers, Robert and Clarence Greathouse; and his beloved parents.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 17th, at Greenlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 3140 E. Center St., North Kingsville, Ohio, with his nephew, the Rev. Luddie Carmichael Jr. officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by Neal Post #742 of the American Legion of North Kingsville. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens.
