ASHTABULA — Carol Ann Wilson, age 70, of Silvieus Dr., Ashtabula, Ohio, entered into eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 17, 1942, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Denitto) Mariano.
Carol had been employed with SCM in Ashtabula in accounts payable until her retirement in 1996.
She was a lifetime member of the Ashtabula American Legion Dewey Howlett Post #103 Auxiliary. She enjoyed “The Facebook”, cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Wilson, whom she married June 13, 1980; two sons, Dennis “Mike” (Paula) Ahlstrom of North Kingsville and Darren (Cindy) Ahlstrom of Cortland; five grandchildren, Erin, Neil and Alanis Ahlstrom and Derrick and Melissa McFarland; and four great-grandchildren, Arianna, Rey and Kane McFarland and Liam Kerns, all of Ashtabula.; three sisters, Marlene Ruppert of Texas, Shirley Stirling of New York, and Delores (Frank) Stiller of Washington; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Frank Stiller officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville.
Calling Hours will be TODAY, Tuesday, Dec. 4th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Funeral Home.
