GENEVA —
Jerry Lee Post, age 67, of State Route 307, passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at UH-Geneva Medical Center.
He was born July 27, 1944, in Ashtabula, the son of Frank and Gladys (Mason) Post and had been a lifelong area resident. Mr. Post served his country in the U.S. Marines.
He went on to work for many years at C.E.I as a heavy machine operator. For 35 years, Jerry and his first wife raised Doberman Pinchers. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycles, his Dachshunds, “Schnitzel and Zazzy” and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Heade) Post; step-sons, Mark (Pam) Wright of Ashtabula and James (Stephanie) Heade of Ashtabula; grandchildren, Ayden Heade and Czesia Wright; sister, Joan (Blair) Brinninger of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Post; son, Bill Post; his brother who had passed away while serving his country, Dale Post; and his parents.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1st, at Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark- Grand River Dam, Harpersfield Road, in Geneva. The Rev. Shane Nanney, Pastor of East Side Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Contributions may be made to the family. DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula is in charge of arrangements.
