SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP —
Clyde Norton, age 85, of Saybrook Township, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Gus and Hulda (Malin) Norton. Clyde was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
Clyde had worked at Hubbell Industrial Control Company of Madison, Ohio until his retirement in 1978. He also operated the Custard Carousel in Painesville, Ohio until 1985. He was a member of the Finnish American Heritage Association.
Clyde is survived by his daughters, Christina (John Biek) Norton and Barbara Wallace, both of Oak Park, Ill.; and five grandchildren, Adam, Brendan, Emily and Matthew Wallace and Michael Biek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Sophia (Grech).
A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 25th, at POTTI LAKESIDE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1329 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio. The Rev. Mark A. Latcovick, of St. Mary’s Seminary in Wickliffe, Ohio, will officiate.
Contributions may be made in his memory to the Finnish American Heritage Association.
