GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE —
Carolyn W. Bartlett, age 67, of Geneva-on-the-Lake since 1976, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at UHHS Geauga Regional Hospital.
She was born Feb. 6, 1945, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Percy E. Jr. and Carolyn L. (Vaughn) Stewart. She married James L. Bartlett on April 1, 1976, in Geneva, Ohio.
Carolyn was a Firefighter/EMT for several years with the Geneva-on-the-Lake Fire Dept. During the summers, she was a store clerk at Allen's General Store at the lake and at the voting polls.
She was a member of Geneva-on-the-Lake Blazettes and Ladies Auxiliary Ashtabula Co. Fire Association. She liked being with family, motorcycle riding, was a Browns and NASCAR fan and a "popcorn operator specialist".
Survivors include her husband, Jim; children, Brad Knapp of Medina, Kristy Knapp-Zalimeni of Ashtabula and Brenda Knapp of Geneva-on-the-Lake; grandchildren, Jake and Ryan Knapp, Amber Zalimeni and Brianna and Ayden Knapp; brother, Pete Metz of N. Ridgeville; sister, Patricia (Jeff) Haralson and her mother, Carolyn Robertson, both of Northfield.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial Service will be 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 22nd, at WALKER FUNERAL HOME, 828 Sherman St., Geneva, with the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock, of Geneva First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Calling Hours will be from 6 p.m. until time of Service, Wednesday, at the Funeral Home.
