JEFFERSON —
Ralph E. Kemmerer, age 71, of W. Satin St., Jefferson, died Tuesday afternoon, August 14, 2012, at University Hospitals in Cleveland where he had been a patient the past three weeks.
He was born March 21, 1941, in Cyclone, Ind., the son of Michael and Mary (Rice) Kemmerer and had lived in the Jefferson area since 1971, coming from Indiana. Mr. Kemmerer was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving eight years during the Vietnam Era. He was married to Alberta F. Taggart on Sept. 3, 1966, at Dorset Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee from Rock Creek Aluminum. Mr. Kemmerer was a former member of the American Legion and the Eagles Club, he liked going to auctions, golfing, fishing, watching old movies and having his morning coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta; two children, Albert E. Kemmerer and Rachel M. Kemmerer, both of Jefferson; a grandson, Aerick McCollough of Jefferson; and a sister, Alta Jane Torrez of Frankfurt, Ind.
His parents and three brothers, Clarence, William and Frank Kemmerer all preceded him in death.
At Mr. Kemmerer’s request, no services or calling hours will be held.
