MENTOR —
Memorial Services for Earl D. Moyer Jr., age 82, will be 2 p.m., Sunday, at Victory Baptist Church, 8911 Lake Shore Blvd., Mentor, where friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. The Temple Lodge #28 will conduct Masonic Services at 1 p.m. at the Church. .
The son of Earl and Leona (Wallace) Moyer Sr., he was born Nov. 6, 1929, in Shaytown, Pa. Mr. Moyer was a resident of Mentor for most of his life. He passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his residence.
Earl retired as a repairman for Sears-Roebuck. He was a member of Pierpont Presbyterian Church, Eastlake Pistol Team and the Temple Lodge #28 (Former George A. Holly Lodge 745) F.& A.M. in Painesville He enjoyed reading, building race cars, go-carts, hot rods and restoring boats.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia (Bissett) Moyer, whom he married on Sept. 16, 1982; sons, David (Patty) Moyer of Willoughby Hills, Daniel (Heidi) Moyer of Hadley, Pa. and Douglas (Edith) Moyer of Eastlake; daughter, Karen Moyer (Jim Urbansky) of Kipton, Ohio; brother, Jerome (Delores) Moyer of Maryland; grandchildren, Tiffany Habanek Gancos, Thomas Habanek, Eric Moyer, Jessica Moyer Martin and Stewart, Amanda, Dean and Jesse Moyer; and three great-grandchildren.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Moyer.
Burial will be in Mentor Municipal Cemetery.
