MUNSON TOWNSHIP — C. Jane Walker, age 78, a resident of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Heather Hill Hospital in Munson Township, Ohio.
Born Sept. 20, 1933, in Middlefield, Ohio, she was the daughter of Levina (Miller) and Arthur Theodore Grenter. Jane was a 1951 graduate of Middlefield High School and received a BA from Kent State University in 1980. On July 1, 1972, she married Allen R. Walker in Perry, Ohio.
Jane was a Secretary at Neff Perkins.
She was a member of Geneva First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She loved singing in the Sweet Adelines, Ashtabula County Chapter. She volunteered many hours at the Humane Society, because of her great love of animals.
She is survived by her husband, Allen R. Walker of Geneva; nephews, James F. Grenter, Christopher D. Grenter and William C. Inman Jr.; nieces, Cheryl Elliott and Susan Elston Huntington; and special friends, Bill Baker Family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Levina (Miller) and Arthur Theodore Grenter; sister, Mary Grenter Inman; and brother, James F. Grenter.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 28th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 29th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES AND CREMATORY, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Bruce Hitchcock, of Geneva First United Methodist Church, officiating. Final resting place will be at Mesopotamia Township, Ohio.
