PIERPONT —
Jerome F. Lomas, age 73, of Pierpont, Ohio, died at Ashtabula County Medical Center on Friday, June 29, 2012.
Born July 2, 1938, in Geneva, Ohio, he was the son of Franklin and Emma (Cook) Lomas. Jerome attended Geneva and Palm Beach High Schools.
He went on to develop and operate the Lomas Go Cart Track at Geneva-on-the-Lake. In the winters, Jerome lived in West Palm Beach, Fla., where he was considered one of the best Charter Boat Fishing Captains. What ever he did, he put his all into it and He Did It His Way.
Survivors include his companion, Colleen Artress of Pierpont, Ohio; daughter, Dr. Jerrilee Lomas of Labelle, Fla.; sons, Franklin and Thomas Lomas, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; brother, Donald Lomas of West Palm Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Ryder and Eric, all of Florida and the best friends a man could hope for; and his beloved dog, “Tipper.”
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
