ANDOVER —
Terry Lee Moore Sr., age 59, of Dorset, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 23, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital in Andover.
Born March 9, 1953, in Ashtabula, Ohio, he was the son of L.B. and Bernece (Moore) Moore and was a lifelong area resident. He attended Edgewood High School. He married Evelyn Marie McDowell in September of 1978.
Terry worked for many years driving barges for Yukon Barge Lines, and had also worked at Zehrco and Headley. Terry attended Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene. He often liked to tell people he was in the Navy. In his spare time, he enjoyed rebuilding antique engines often taking them to engine shows, deer hunting, fishing and participating and watching demolition derby’s. He also loved his dogs, “Kylie, Ruby, Shugar Dog, and Megan” (who recently passed), but his passion was his family and friends.
Terry is survived by his wife of 33 years, Evelyn; daughters, Carol Moore (Dana Ramsey) of Pierpont, Tammie (Jim) Nemitz of Jefferson, Anita (Steve) Smith-Stough of Linesville, Pa. and Jennifer Smith (Omar Cordero) of Brunswick, Ohio; brothers, Endil (Debbie) Moore of Nenanna, Ala. and Fred (Suzanne) Moore of Pierpont; sister, Melissa (John) Simmons of Missouri; grandchildren, Gunnar T. Lee Spencer, Erin Smith, Kaylin Smith and Rachel Pauley; great-grandchildren, Jayden Weeks and Jayce Toukonen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Moore Jr.; and brothers, Ronald and Donald Moore.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 28th, at Kelloggsville Church of the Nazarene, 4841 St. Rte 84, Kingsville, with the Rev. Lester Bolen officiating and assisted by the Rev. Ed Pickard, Pastor of Dorset Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Kelloggsville Cemetery, Monroe Township.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 27th, at the Church. Contributions may be made to the family. DUCRO FUNERAL SERVICES AND CREMATORY, 4524 Elm Ave., Ashtabula, Ohio is handling arrangements.
