ASHTABULA — Hilda Dolores Rodriguez Garcia, age 20, died unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, Oct., 5, 2012.
Hilda was born in Ciudad-Manuel Doblado, Mexico, on May 18, 1992, and was the beloved daughter of Amparo Rodriguez Torres. She was a graduate of Lakeside High School and a current student at ATECH studying cosmetology. Hilda planned on working as a cosmetologist while studying law. Her goal was to become an immigration lawyer and help those who could not afford services. Hilda was considered by all who knew her to be a respectful young adult.
She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She and her mother, Amparo, were best friends and they did everything together. Her love of her family, her boyfriend, David, and her puppy were known by all.
Hilda’s life was filled with love, laughter, family and friends. Her aspirations to help those less fortunate than herself will be remembered by those lives she touched. Her willingness to serve her family and those in her community will be her legacy.
She is survived by her boyfriend, David Juarez of Lorain; her grandmother, Elisa-Gordillo-Rodriguez of Mexico; aunts and uncles, her Godfather and uncle, Juan Rodriguez and Eduardo Rodriguez, both of Ashtabula, Lucia Rodriguez of Mexico, Luis Alejandro Rodriguez Jr. of South Carolina, Jose` Rodriguez, Gabriela Rodriguez, Carmela Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, Maria DeJesus Rodriguez and Silvanie Rodriguez, all of Mexico; and many loving cousins and friends both in Mexico and the United States.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Amparo Rodriguez Torres on Oct. 5, 2012; and her grandfather, Alejandro Rodriguez.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14th, at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio, with the Rev. Ernesto Rodriguez presiding. Burial will be in her home town of Ciudad-Manuel Doblado, Mexico.
Calling Hours will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14th, at the ZABACK-WILLIAMS-DUCRO FUNERAL HOME, 500 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio.
