GIRARD, Pa. —
Jean Marie DeMarco Larson, age 84, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012, at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard.
She was born in Girard Township, on Sept. 27, 1927, to the late Frank and Ruth Frye DeMarco. Jean was raised and educated in the Girard area and graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1945.
While in high school, she worked weekends at McCarty's Store in Lake City. Later, she worked at Marx Toys, Buyer's Fair and at Pleasant Ridge Manor in Girard. She lived in Corry for a number of years, later returning to the Girard area.
Jean Marie was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard and enjoyed flower gardening, artwork and sketching. She was truly one of the most compassionate, loving and forgiving persons known. She brightened the lives of all those around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy J. Larson; sisters, Pauline Cook and Virginia "Ginny" Sanders; and brothers, Richard and Roger DeMarco.
She will be deeply missed by her three daughters, Lee Anne Noce and Timothy Foster of Conneaut, Ohio, Laurie R. McCool and her husband, Daniel R. of Ashtabula, Ohio and Leslie D. Fifield and her husband, Jeff of Post Mills, Vt.; her sister, Betty Quigley of Girard; three grandchildren, Traves Noce, Amanda Noce and Jeffrey Fifield; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon Noce, Ethan Noce and Eaden Fifield.
No calling hours will be observed. Services will be private.
Memorials may be made to Friends of Pleasant Ridge Manor, 8300 West Ridge Road, Girard, Pa. 16417. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of DANIEL R. EDDER FUNERAL HOME, Girard.
