WAKEMAN — Zachery Charles Malott, age 10, of Wakeman, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at his home.
Zachery was born Feb. 23, 2002, in Cleveland, and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 2 years, moving from Lorain.
He was a 5th grade student at Firelands Elementary School where he was on the Merit Roll. He enjoyed gaming, movies, reading and many sports including, football and basketball. He also loved his cat “Dexter” and being outdoors, especially fishing.
He is survived by his mother, Robin (nee Marks) (Guy Krause) Malott of Wakeman; father, Rodney Malott of Morgantown, W.Va.; brother, Rodney Clayton Malott of Wakeman; sisters, Courtney Renee Hamar of Broadview Heights and Brittany Claire Hamar of Garfield Heights; half-sister, Nicole Morris of Columbus; maternal grandparents, Robert Charles and Clara Marks of Ashtabula; paternal grandparents, Richard and Rose Malott of Fairmont, W.Va.; step-grandfather, Danny Copen of Vermilion; Aunt Clarissa and Uncle William Ettinger of Ashtabula, Aunt Tina and Uncle Matthew Perry of Ashtabula, Aunt Kim Marks of Garfield Heights and Uncle Bryan Hamar of Garfield Heights; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nadine Copen; and great-grandparents, Clayton and Anne Marks and William and Molly Trout
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 24th, from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at 1:30 p.m., at RIDDLE FUNERAL HOME, 5345 South St, Vermilion Ohio. Father Ron Brickner will officiate. Interment will follow at Birmingham Cemetery.
