ASHTABULA —
Anne M. Monda, age 95, of Ashtabula, died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 26, 2012, at Hospice of the Western Reserve Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 10, 1917, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Louis and Josephine (Pavolino) Monda.
Miss Monda was retired from Ashtabula City Schools working as a secretary at Pacific St. School and Columbus Jr. High School.
She was a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Choir, The Sicilian Choir, Americans of Italian Descent, Sons of Italy of America Anita Garibaldi Lodge 722, and Ashtabula Mended Hearts. She also made baby hats for the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Survivors include her brother, Andrew (Iris) Monda of Avon Ohio; brother-in-law, Edward Niles of Concord Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Samuel, Joseph and William “Cosie” Monda; sisters, Mary “Mayme” Monda and Louise Niles; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 29th, in Our Lady of Peace Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with burial to follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., TODAY, Sept. 28th, at GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 1550 West 19th St., Ashtabula.
