HOWLAND TOWNSHIP — Wilma F. Raach, age 78, of Howland Township, passed away 11:35 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 13, 1931, in Kingsville, Ohio, the daughter of Berton and Lucy (Bishop) Fox. A lifetime area resident, she was a 1949 graduate of Orwell High School.

Wilma was employed as a writer for the Warren Tribune and as a secretary for the Howland School System for 28 years.

Wilma was very active in the community of Howland. She was a charter member of the Howland United Methodist Church, served on the Township Zoning Commission and was elected to the Board of Education for several terms. She was an avid Republican and a member of the Republican Central Committee for many years. She also was a member of the Howland Schools OAPSE, serving as president for many years and American Legion Post 700 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts, reading, camping and her dog, “Sam”.

Her husband of 54 years, Walter N. Raach whom she married Oct. 27, 1951, preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 2006. She also was preceded in death by her parents; and by two brothers, Melvin Fox and Rollin Fox and wife, Jane.

Wilma will be sadly missed by her children, David A. (Sherri) Raach of Howland and Nancy R. (Dennis) Wemm of Glenville, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Justin D. Raach, Mallory C. Raach, Stephanie Wemm and Alexander Wemm; and a sister-in-law, Audrey Fox of Ashtabula.

Services will be 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 30th, at ROBERTS-CLARK CHAPEL, 180 Garfield Dr. NE, Warren, Ohio, with the Rev. Ronald Spore officiating, where friends will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be in Howland Township Cemetery.

The family suggests material contributions be made to the Animal Welfare League, 545 Brunstetter Road, Warren, Ohio 44481-9600.
