JEFFERSON —
Theodore Miller Jr., age 78, of Overly Road, Jefferson, died late Wednesday evening, July 18, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 11, 1934, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Theodore R. and Ethel H. (Kemp) Miller and had lived in this area most of his life, moving to Ashtabula Co. from North Madison in 1970. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, serving in the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Miller retired from Yanish Brothers Construction in 1989. He was previously an Ashtabula Co. Sheriff’s Deputy and was a mail carrier in Andover. Mr. Miller was an outdoorsman who loved nature and enjoyed hunting and skeet shooting. “Bart” his trusted dog, was always by his side.
Survivors include six children, Theodore “Ted” (Sharon) Miller of East Trumbull, Eva L. (James) Lebzelter of Jefferson, Jonathan (Rochelle) Miller of Jefferson, Steven D. Miller of Dorset, Mark Ken Lightfoot of Chicago, Ill. and Margo D. McLease of Chander, Ariz.; grandchildren, Ashley A., Amber R. and Adam T. Miller, Robert J. Martin and Timothy J. Lebzelter and Shardanay, Robert Lee and Taylor Louise Miller; great-grandson, Gavin R. Miller; four brothers, Lonnie Miller of North Carolina, Richard Miller of Georgia, Robert Miller of Rock Creek and Timothy Miller of Rock Creek; and three sisters, Willa Kerkel of Ashtabula, Edith Hribar of Rock Creek and Linda Paine of Ashtabula.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Cherie Claridge.
Funeral Services will held 11 a.m., Monday, July 23rd, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, with Tom Allen officiating. Burial will be in East Trumbull Cemetery, Trumbull Township, with Geneva V.F.W. Post #6846 providing Full Military Honors.
Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Funeral Home.
