JEFFERSON — Shirley A. Mahle, age 77, of South Denmark Road, Jefferson, Ohio, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Jefferson Health Care in Jefferson.
Born May 23, 1935, in Grennell, Iowa, she was the daughter of Murthen and Gertrude (Carlton) Wright and was a graduate of Austinburg High School.
She enjoyed plants, flowers, ceramics, baking cookies and spending time with her family.
Surviving her are five children, Marvyn A. (Janice) Mahle of Buffalo, N.Y., Pamela E. (Timothy) Gran of Jefferson, Jeffrey L. (Ada) Mahle of Jefferson, Ronald L. (Appoline) Mahle of Mint Hill, N.C., and Brett H. Mahle of Jefferson; six grandchildren, Jessica, Benjamin, Wendy, Rebecca, Theresa and Leanne; one brother, Paul (Pat) Wright of Dorset; and three sisters. Doris (James) Newman of Geneva, Winnie McCormick of Florida and Margie Wright of Andover.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mervyn in 1996; a great-grandson, Gage Gran-Fisher; and two sisters, Betty “Pinky” Goff and Dorothy Albaney.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 18th, at the Jefferson Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson, Ohio, with the Rev. Meredith Coleman and the Rev. Janice N. Mahle CO-officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Tuesday, July 17th, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
