ASHTABULA — Marguerite “Peg” J. Lorentzen, age 92, a resident of East 26th St., Ashtabula, Ohio, formerly of Washington Blvd., Saybrook Township, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
Born August 16, 1919, in Ashtabula, she was the daughter of Frans and Marie (McCarty) Lorentzen and has been a lifetime area resident.
Peg was a 1937 graduate of Ashtabula High School and had worked for C. L. Carle Co. for 23 years, the Mike Presciano Co. for 9 years, and had worked for Raser Tannery until her retirement in 1975.
She is a member of Our Lady of Peace Church and had been a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Joseph Church. She loved little children and animals.
Surviving is her sister, Florence Lorentzen of Ashtabula; a niece, Jacqueline Maki of Irving, Texas; and a nephew, Ronald Lorentzen of Washington, D. C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas and Allen Lorentzen; and a nephew, David Lorentzen.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 16th, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with the Rev. Father Ernesto Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling Hour will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
