CHARDON —
Howard K. Graves, age 84, died at The Dolan Center of Heather Hill Care Facilities on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012.
He was the son of Howard Kennedy Graves Sr. and Julia L. Gifford Graves. Howard was married to Irene B. Lenhart on Dec. 9, 1957. He has gone to join his wife who died Jan 6, 2006.
Howard loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the challenge of starting two businesses: the Krakauer Piano Factory and the Berlin Natural Bakery. He designed all the tooling in the factories and was meticulous about quality control. His wife, Irene, was his partner. Howard enjoyed flying a sailplane and listening to classical music.
Howard is survived by his children, Bonnie (Craig) Morton of Orwell, Ohio, Russ (Lucia Coleriares) Graves of Costa Mesa, Calif., Janet (Jason Law) Mackenzie of Utica, N.Y. and Art (Shannon) Graves of Boise, Idaho; and his sister, Nancy (Gordon) Wickstrom of Cherokee Village, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Irene.
A Memorial Service officiated by the Rev. Matt Doerle will be held 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 18th, at PAINE-GUERRIERO FUNERAL HOME, 140 E. Main St., Orwell, Ohio. Calling Hours will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., prior to the Service, Tuesday, at the Funeral Home.
