MENTOR — R. Garner “Slim” Fram, age 76, of Mentor, died Friday July 3, 2009, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Frostburg, Md., the son of Richard and Eleanor Fram. He lived in Madison before moving to Mentor 40 years ago.

Mr. Fram was retired as the operator of Discount Tobacco in Eastlake. Prior to that, he retired as a machinist at Pace Engineering, Willoughby, in 1998. He previously worked as a machinist at John L. Molnar Company in Willoughby. He loved to play bingo and scratch off lottery tickets.

Survivors include daughters, Janice (Leonard Shenk) Fram of Mentor, Judy (Craig) Reynolds of Eastlake and Mary (Anthony) Taylor of Madison; grandchildren, Christina and Daryl Reynolds and April and Gregory Taylor; great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Ian, Lysa and Kylee; sisters, Joanne Lynch of Frostburg, Md. and Charlotte Turner of Cumberland, Md.; brothers, Frank and Richard Fram; and his dog, Teddy.

Mr. Fram is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jane Fram; son, Gregory Fram; and his parents, Richard and Eleanor Fram.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 p.m. Noon, Wednesday, July 8th, at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 7th, at BRUNNER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
